The virtual library e-codices and its related content is offered exclusively for personal,
non-commercial use.
For technical reasons automated downloading of the website or parts thereof is not allowed.
Manual downloading of individual pages is allowed.
For metadata harvesting an OAI interface, based on standard Dublin Core, is available on www.e-codices.unifr.ch/oai.
The use of e-codices images for non-commercial purposes in the world wide web is permitted, so long as a hyperlinked reference to e-codices is included (see below).
All images may be used for private, and non-commercial purposes (especially for teaching and for scholarly research). Please be sure to cite the source of the content used (for the proper format for the reference please see below).
Selling, republishing or any form of commercial use (publication or advertisement in electronic or print media, company websites, commercial databases etc.) of images or content made available by e-codices requires a bibliographic reference and the prior written permission of the manuscript owner library (see Contact – library or collection). Uncompressed TIFF images can be obtained from the manuscript owner library for publications in print media (see Contact – library or collection). Both the manuscript owner libraries and e-codices reserve the right to refuse the use of our content in individual cases.
