Tipo di scrittura e mani: A single hand writing insular set minuscule, with initials decorated in the insular style. For E. A. Lowe, the hand represented “the pure milk of Irish calligraphy” (CLA VII, p. xii).

Origine del manoscritto: Iona, written by the scribe Dorbbéne (see colophon on p. 136). The manuscript subsequently passed to Reichenau, though precisely when is unknown. An erased Reichenau exlibris on p. 1, lower margin, indicates that it must have been before the 13th century. Subsequently, the manuscript is attested in the 1772 catalogue of the Stadtbibliothek Schaffhausen.
