 Strong, well made and smoothed parchment: flesh side white, hair side yellowish with some pores; some old holes. Single column, 29 lines per page. Written area 233-235 x 193-195 (176-177) mm. (Bruckner) By multiple hands, mid to later ninth century, some under insular influence. Black to rust brown ink. Titles in red rustics, also quadrata, uncials. Some initials with red braiding (Bruckner)

Bound in boards with pressed tan leather covering, s. XV. Four frets, 2 leather straps have been lost, 1 later leather strap with brass plates. A brass pin on the front cover. Later note on front cover, Cassiodorus super psalterium Prima pars (s. XV); on spine Cassiodorus in Psalterium a 1 usque ad 50 inclusive (s. XIX).
