 Strong, well made and smoothed parchment. Flesh side is white to grey, hair side yellowish with pores; some old holes. Single column, 33 lines per page. Written area 241-242 x 200-201 (180-185) mm. (Bruckner) By several beautiful, careful hands of the time of Grimald (841-872), in dark to rust-brown ink. Titles in red quadrata or rustics. Some ornate red trellis-patterned initials. (Bruckner)

Bound in black, probably charred leather. Backcover is stitched with leather. Four frets, 2 leather straps with brass and braided leather ends; two brass pins on the front cover. Notes, on the front cover Cassiodorus a psalmo quinquagesimo usque in psalmum centesimum; on the spine Cassiodorus a Ps. LI usque ad C. inclus..
