Résumé du manuscrit
Le contenu principal du manuscrit se compose de copies des lettres du père de l’Eglise Augustin († 430), qui furent probablement écrites à Mayence, dans la seconde moitié du IXe siècle. La petite table des matières et les dernières pages furent ajoutées au XIe siècle, du temps d’Ekkehart IV († vers 1060), à l’Abbaye de Saint-Gall; puis, prend place une traduction latine d’Ekkehart IV du Chant de Gall en ancien allemand (composé par le moine de Saint-Gall Ratpert) et divers extraits au contenu mathématique ou astronomique.
